ABOUT CRYSTAL:

I'm a self-taught watercolour artist specialising in flowers, living in beautiful Warburton, in the Upper Yarra Valley, Victoria.

A yoga teacher and a mum of 2 school-aged boys, I started my art practice during the long, cold months of COVID lockdown in 2020. I love nature, our valley and I enjoy painting flowers because they provide the most amazing subject of colours, textures, shapes and variety. They are the exquisite pops of nature that I cannot resist recreating. I find watercolour magical, healing & intoxicating. Painting is a way for me to tune into the present, into my tools, my subject and connecting with myself.

I do commission work, sell my work on Etsy, teach online and have a YouTube Channel where I share online tutorials of how to paint and I’m planning to host workshops in my studio.

Crystal participated in Yarra Valley Open Studios 2023 and will again be opening her studio in October 2024.
