$10 toilet paper for our volunteers each week

$25 craft materials for a children’s activity

$50 paper and other stationery materials to support our exhibitions

$100 to give a youth mentee 3 hours of work experience

$200 to pay a local performer to support our exhibition programing

$500 a week’s rent on the gallery space

$1000 towards upgrading our professional lighting system

$2000 towards a refurbishment of our design store that helps support our artists with a regular income.

$5000 Annual professional development program for our artists and volunteers

$10000 to support one of our major artistic community projects such as Open Studios, Curated Spaces or Yarra Valley Yering Sculpture Prize and Exhibition

$12500 to support a paid internship for six months resulting in a student landing their dream job.

Open Studios

This program is an annual event that enables 30+ artists of the Yarra Valley to open up their (usually private) art studios to the public. It is a unique opportunity for members of the public to have a highly accessible (free) view into an artist’s studio, to ask questions directly of the artist and to see first-hand how they create. It is an important economic opportunity for artists to extend their reach and build new audiences. We support the program by organising the whole program, creating maps, posters, signage, and managing promotion, etc - all of which require resources and $. Your donation will help support this program and extend reach. Our aim is to build the Yarra Valley into a region that is as well known for its Arts as it is for food and wine!

Youth Mentoring Program

This program takes young people age 18-25 through a 4 month arts management mentoring program to give them transferable skills and the confidence to success in any profession of their chosen, including the arts! We will use donated funds to pay mentors and to provide paid opportunities for young people to apply the skills they learn through this program.

Donate today to help us support our ability to find additional avenues to show the work of Yarra Valley artists around the community. We are working on a range of possibilities to extend our ability to showcase our artists beyond the walls of YAVA Gallery & Arts Hub. We also need to fund the rental of our gallery space at 252A Maroondah Highway, which is not cheap! Of course we’d ideally like to have our own building, however it is vital for us right now to ensure we have a physical presence and vehicle to showcase our rich array of Yarra Valley artists.
