JOURNEY

Margaret McLoughlin has spent her artistic career exploring colour, texture and materiality. Her constant dedication to learning means the fruits of her efforts are diverse, and the product of much conscious consideration.

This exhibition, Journey, celebrates Margaret’s 40 years of joyous expression; her home has evolved from South Africa to Australia, with travels in between. Subjects in her work are as diverse as her media – from petite ink and watercolour interiors to vast oil landscapes, Margaret articulates her love of beauty, nature and humanity.

While Margaret’s rural subjects are very recognisable to her dedicated following, this reflective exhibition shows the breadth of her practice and is evidence of an artist committed to learning, growing and pushing herself to maintain freshness and integrity.

Seeing the beauty in everything, Margaret internalises all she observes and reproduces artworks that reveal a unique perspective with an expansive relatability.
