Tim Peel

Tim has been making and designing jewellery for well over twenty years now. Inspired by classes at secondary school, then TAFE, he went through to complete a degree at Monash University. Now a fellow of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia, Tim feels that creating jewellery is not just a job, but a passion and a love.

Tim’s greatest pleasure is derived from making one-off handmade pieces to a person’s own specifications. For Tim, the focus is on his client and their specific needs/desires in order to create a unique design. From the simplest silver earrings to the most gorgeous, sophisticated diamond rings, Tim will cater to all jewellery needs.

In 2013 Tim was elected to the National Council of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia where he plays a role in overseeing the standards and hallmarking of precious metals in Australia.

Silvermist Studio

Silvermist Studio is a jewellery gallery and goldsmiths workshop. The Healesville studio has a name for quality, style and personal service. When Tim and his wife Liz moved to Healesville in 1998, they purpose-built their home with a studio and workshop space at the front, and opened it to the public.

In 2015, seventeen years later, Silvermist Studio moved location and now fills a dedicated studio and gallery space in the heart of Healesville’s main street.

Silvermist Studio specialises in made-to-order pieces, however you can browse a range of beautiful jewellery both contemporary and classical, handcrafted by Tim in the studio.

If you have a special attachment to a piece of jewellery, Silvermist Studio offers a full restoration and renovation service. This may include the simple repair of claws and settings, or a remodel and a fresh beginning.
