Shaun Tan
The title, The Singing Bones, comes from a Grimm’s fairytale and in this book Shaun Tan represents 75 fairy tales through intricate sculptures mainly using clay and paper mache. Each sculpture is accompanied by an extract from the fairy tale it represents.
The book has a foreword by renowned British author Phillip Pullman and is introduced by fairy tale academic Jack Zips.
