YAVA is proud to partner with De Bortoli Wines as YAVA moves beyond the gallery walls and curates spaces in some of the special places of the Yarra Valley. This winter the beautiful curated space at De Bortoli Yarra Valley Cellar Door is showcasing Yarra Valley landscapes by Mary Newham.

Mary Newham is a long time resident of the Yarra Valley and her work is largely a celebration of that beautiful setting. Her preferred way of working is “en plein air” with her canvas, easel and oil paints set up outside whereupon she strives to capture the essence and atmosphere of the scene before her in a realistic and painterly style. The effects of the seasons, weather and light are of particular interest.

De Bortoli Wines established the Yarra Valley Estate in 1987, acquiring some of the oldest plantings in the region and a brilliant piece of land to grow vines and make premium cool climate wine. Our award-winning range of premium, often single vineyard wines are crafted to reflect our philosophy that good wine starts in the vineyard and captures a true sense of place.
