ABOUT JAMES:

I am a multi-discipline photograher, currently exploring human interaction with the camera.

I have been exploring capturing the human figure in motion, and in stillness.

I find the interaction between the subject and the camera to be fascinating, seeing how they evolve and develop throughout a photo shoot, and become more comfortable with each other as the time passes.

At a certain point barriers start to disappear, and real connections begin to form. This is when the images start to come to life. The camera is forgotten, and human expression and vulnerability are revealed.

I’m also quite passionate about the process of getting the image to the final print, as a tangible physical item that can be touched and held, and hung on a wall. To me, this process is how an image becomes complete.
