ABOUT LYNN:
Lynn was born and grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, moving to Melbourne in her early 20’s. She’s currently living in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, on the edge of the beautiful and artistically inspiring Yarra Valley.
An emerging artist, Lynn has been artistic all her life. Now that her sons are in their 20’s, she is enjoying focusing on developing her art practise. Lynn is striving to move away from the exacting nature of her training as an interior designer draftsperson, to a more artistic, looser style along the lines of her favourite art movement of Impressionism.
Inspired by nature, beautiful colour combinations and contrasts, light and shade, atmosphere, movement and textures, she aims to create artwork that brings a sense of calm, wonder and beauty to the onlooker.
Working across all genres, her favourite medium is soft pastel, however in recent years she has also been creating art with acrylics and watercolours and hopes to try oils in the future.
Lynn has attended many art classes, including pastel classes with renown pastellist, Janet Hayes and loves extending and challenging her abilities by exploring new ideas and subjects, using different methods and styles.
