ABOUT PETER:

Pete is a painter and photographer. His works consistently reference stories of ambiguity and contest. These stories are revealed through works of still life, landscape, portraiture, and conversational pieces, at times reflecting socio-political questions.

Pete uses digital multimedia in making his works. Works that reflect the immediacy of and construct between nature and humanity. They represent abstracted moments in actual and visualised time and space. Pete’s subject exploration is purposefully aided by an oft accidentalness of consequence in arriving at a resolved conclusion. His use of a contemporary digital language intersects with traditional painting technique, abstraction and expressionism.

There is a truth that life, as we know it, is in a multidimensional state of flux. Nevertheless, Pete’s artwork reflects a thoughtful narrative of hope.

The essence of Pete’s practice is to use his virtual language to create works that invite reflection and conversation. It is through considering the complexities of humanity’s contributions, intersecting with natures intrinsic beauty, that we can each consider new realities to construct renewed stories for the future.
