ABOUT ANGELA:

As an artist and transpersonal art therapist, I find immense joy in creating art that fosters mental health awareness. My mission is to touch and improve people’s lives every day through my artistic endeavours.

From a tender age, I’ve been drawn to various artistic mediums such as mixed media, textiles, watercolour, and acrylic painting. Among my favourites is Sumi-e painting, which I learned by observing the techniques of painting from my talented Aunt, Susan Nette, an accomplished artist in oil, acrylic, watercolour, and a Sumi-e Master.

Over the years, I’ve ventured into experimenting with textiles to create intriguing and quirky art pieces.

More recently, I have been using a 3-dimensional canvas of mannequins with mixed media. The mannequins are transformed into personalities of my alter egos. I prefer to express my emotions, experiences within my art and hidden, intertwined, intuitive messages of positive affirmations. My messages of mental health are the focus of my art creations.

Teaching art and crafts to diverse age groups at local community houses has been another gratifying aspect of my journey.
