ABOUT ELIZABETH:
Elizabeth Haigh works across Painting, Printmaking, Textiles and Photography. Her visceral artwork pays homage to the living earth, its delicate rhythms and its vulnerability. Intimate and vast landscapes seen and experienced are translated into a visual poetry in which nature’s spectrum of colours and natural forms are woven together.
Elizabeth primarily works from her studio in the Yarra Valley on Wurundjeri country. A graduate of RMIT, Fine Art (Painting) and Melbourne University, Grad Dip Ed (Visual Art & Design). She has exhibited regularly since returning to her art practice after full-time teaching. Elizabeth continues to share her art knowledge and skills as an invited tutor with Fibre Arts Australia, Tarrawarra Museum of Art, Baldessin Press and in her local community. She was invited to write a feature article for Women Create (US) published Spring 2023, with a follow up Q & A for their January 2024 Newsletter.
