ABOUT JODIE:

Intuition, life experiences, achievements and spiritual growth are lovingly intertwined into her art and designs, creating, mindfully designed pieces to inspire, uplift and encourage women on their journeys. Fuelling her desire to find authentic connection, healing and meaning in life through her art.

Art is a place where I am able to release the love, joy and tears of ever-changing emotions that are within. Its where I find stillness and flow in life, it helps transform my emotions by channelling and expressing my heart onto paper or canvas.

I work primarily in watercolour and dabble in pencil, ink, acrylic, oil and mixed media.

Most of my work is tight and highly detailed and I aim to capture a balance of photorealism and creative expression in each piece. My subjects are predominately animals, however recently I’m finding joy and energy in portraiture and developing my skills and style in larger loose botanical and abstracts on canvas.

I’ve been lucky enough to not only have family living in Thailand but have travelled, worked & volunteered in some incredible places of the world, met the most amazing and courageous people who influence my art immensely, especially my recent portraiture studies. Nature is one of my biggest inspirations, the constantly changing colour, tones and moods.

Jodie is the creative behind Jodee Creations a retail space in Mount Evelyn where she sells her artworks, cards and her unique Jewellery Signature Collection and conducts workshops.

Jodie partcipated in Yarra Valley Open Studios 2023.
