ABOUT RODERICK:

Roderick McLeod is a percussionist, Kora player, and instrument maker based in the Yarra Valley, Australia.

Roderick has studied making koras, kora music and drumming through West Africa including Senegal and Mali.

Roderick has been crafting Koras (21 stringed West African Harp) for the last 10 years out of a variety of exotic woods, animal skins and gourds/calabash.

Currently, Roderick's actively engages in a multitude of artistic endeavours. He collaborates with a range of artists, performs at festivals and events across Australia.

Roderick’s studio in the Upper Yarra Valley will be open on 26 & 27 October 2024 from 10-5pm. More Open Studios details here
