I love creating sculptures that express my feelings about life matters, and make people smile.
ABOUT MIM:
Mim lives in Healesville in the Yarra Valley, where her studio has inspiring views of the Great Dividing Range, the bush and mobs of kangaroos.
Her life and work has always been about art. For many years she was an art teacher in primary schools, an art consultant running hands on workshops for teachers and students all over Victoria and interstate, and now as an artist in her own studio.
Mim creates sculptures using modelling clay and mixed media. She often uses recycled bases which she changes in various ways. Most of her sculptures tell a story, often highlighting the dilemmas and absurdities of modern life.
Mim is a finalist in the prestigious 2023 Yarra Valley Arts | Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition & Awards. Sculptures can be viewed outdoors and near the restaurant at Yering Station Winery until 3 December.
